The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE), Ajmer, on Thursday held a class 12 political science exam where at least six diary questions were related to Congress, which is the current ruling party in the state of north. The questionnaire asked students about the achievements of the party.

Shortly after the exam, news clippings of the question went viral on social media and the RBSE 12 class political science exam quiz quickly became a topic of political debate. The BJP called it propaganda.

BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla in a tweet accused the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan of continuing to “push the agenda for the first family using education even now!”

“The ‘Congress-ization’ of education, institutions and history has been done for far too long – Nehru was promoted at the cost of Ambedkar/Patel/Savarkar/Birsa,” Poonawalla said.

Here are some questions posed in the RBSE Class 12 Pol Science article that were related to the Congress Party

– Who gave the slogan of Gareebi hatao?

– Describe the social media and intellectual alliances of Congress?

– How many seats did Congress win in the 1984 elections?

– Which political party dominated the first three Lok Sabha elections?

– The general election turned out to be an election for the restoration of Congress. Explain the statement.

Not only the Congress, the newspaper also had a question related to the bifurcation of the Communist Party and another on the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

A News18 report mentions academics saying it is “normal” to ask about Congress given that there is a chapter in the Rajasthan Board’s class 12 political science syllabus on “The Dominion of a political party and a congress system: challenges and establishment”.

Meanwhile, Times Now reported Rajasthan’s Education Minister, Dr Bulaki Das Kalla, in a clarification saying: ‘The Board of Education is an independent body, there is no government interference in its subject. The paper is also made in secret by different people. What can you say when there is no government intervention in it? If there was, I would have taken responsibility for it. In Also in the past, questions related to many parties have been asked in political science.
