Regardless of which nation is ruled by a political system or government, as a national policy Tatmadaw must uphold the top three national causes concerning all nationalities, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the Board of Directors of the State and Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing made the remarks during the graduation ceremony of the 8th Admission Course of Graduating Female Cadets on the parade ground of the Defense Service Officer Training School (Army) (Hmawby) in Yangon on December 22.

We must always safeguard our three main national causes: the non-disintegration of the Union, the non-disintegration of national solidarity, the perpetuation of national sovereignty as a national duty for the Union in which more than 100 people live ethnic. National affairs means safeguarding national interests, religion, traditional culture and customs. No matter which nation is ruled by any political system or government like our national policy, Tatmadaw must uphold the top three national causes concerning all nationalities. He would do his best to work with the people to implement the military’s national policy, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said.

In addition, the Tatmadaw strives to become a stable, peaceful and prosperous nation by uniting with the people and responding directly or indirectly to the needs of the people and the country. What has been done must be clearly seen in the story. He called for the preservation of these noble traditions.

In addition, the three main functions of the Tatmadaw: duty of national defense, duty of training and duty of public utility have been defined. The most fundamental of them is the duty of national defense. In the case of national defense, these are generally threats internal and external to the country. In modern times, not only military means but measures must be taken to prevent the dangers of political interference, economic sanctions, dissemination of false information and cultural intrusion, said Chief General Min Aung Hlaing.

To be conscientious individually, military subjects enlightened by military training depots or academies must apply, with the motto “Study, Practice, Comply”, in a practical field with precision and efficiency while serving national defense . The comrades were encouraged to study the most modern military equipment and tactics juxtaposed with the modern world to enable them to use, practice physical training to be in better health and to comply with fundamental procedures of military disciplines and of front line in the practical field, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The Tatmadaw is a force for the state and the people and is one of the strongest institutions, always ready in case of emergency. Therefore, he said, good citizens should fulfill their national defense responsibilities.

Awareness of duty among the country and the people, loyalty and a variety of selfless performances with a spirit of goodwill by Tatmadaw have been observed in the past. Currently, Tatmadaw is also leading and overseeing the building of a Union rooted in democracy and the federal system, with peace and quiet, and community development. All of Tatmadaw’s efforts tend to be beneficial to our homeland and ethnic people, and Tatmadaw also performs duties with a spirit of goodwill so that he can rigidly present himself as a country among the world, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
