JOHOR BAHRU (5 March): The successful economic recovery, political stability and social well-being now being enjoyed are the result of close cooperation between the Federal Government and State Governments in delivering the helping Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian family)

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the close cooperation was aimed at ensuring no one was left behind to narrow the income gap and eradicate poverty.

“The Covid-19 pandemic has had a big impact on the daily lives of the Malaysian family, but the government has never been negligent in providing financial and social assistance, as well as job opportunities.”

He said this in his speech at the launch of Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (AKM) at Dataran Angsana here today with Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad also present.

In assisting the Malaysian family, the Prime Minister said the government has undertaken various initiatives such as Perlindungan Tenang Voucher, One Family One House and Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) schemes, in addition to providing affordable housing and broadband. wireless.

Apart from the SBST which was expected to benefit 6.4 million passengers annually, the Prime Minister said the government has allocated RM150 million to implement the myBAS service.

Referring to public bus services in Johor, he said as of March, 128 myBAS units were plying 19 routes in five corridors namely Kota Tinggi, Masai, Kulai, Gelang Patah and Pontian over a distance of 1,052 kilometers .

“The government is also offering a 50% or RM150 discount for the purchase of a Keluarga Malaysia (MyCRS) child car seat for B40 group private cars.

“Aware of the importance of digitalization to facilitate the daily affairs of the Malaysian family, a number of strategies and initiatives have been developed and implemented by some ministries, for example, the appointment system in the clinics (SJTK) in clinics.

“It’s about giving people the opportunity to choose a suitable appointment slot without being present in the health premises,” he said.

Realizing the importance of internet access, Ismail Sabri said the government is committed to improving wireless broadband service by implementing 5G for quality and faster online communication.

“To improve internet service, the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia has also taken the initiative to monitor the quality of wireless broadband service nationwide within six months with the pioneering project starting in Johor, involving 3,000 sites,” he added.

Regarding the economy, Ismail Sabri said that the government will ensure that with regard to foreign direct investment (FDI), the relevant agencies implement the programs aimed at facilitating business operations in the country.

Regarding the floods that hit several parts of the country including Johor earlier this year, he said the government has allocated more than RM1.4 billion to ease the burden of the victims by keeping aid up to 10 RM 000 for each head of household affected by the Malaysian Family Flood Assistance,

The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to the Johor State Government led by Hasni, for providing additional aid of RM500 to each affected family.

“I believe that such synergy shows how important the welfare of the Malaysian family is,” he said.

Ismail Sabri said that various initiatives have been implemented to help the Malaysian family affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, including the Wage Subsidy, PenjanaKerjaya, SULUNG and Young Employable Student (YES!) programs, the MyFutureJobs portal and the Malaysian Family Job Guarantee and Semarak. Initiatives by Niaga Keluarga Malaysia (SemarakNiaga), worth a total of RM40 billion, to help the business sector recover.

“The Malaysian Family Employment Guarantee initiative, recently launched by the government, aims to reduce the unemployment rate below 4.2% by providing 600,000 job opportunities and involving a 4.8 billion RM, in accordance with one of the main axes. as part of the 2022 budget,” said.

The AKM tour program was a continuation of the success of the 100-day AKM event held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center last December with the concept of providing direct services to the public.
