A senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, Talal Chaudhry, said Friday that political stability was essential to strengthen the economy and the democratic system.
ISLAMABAD, Aug 5 (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News – Aug 5, 2022): Talal Chaudhry, top leader of the Pakistani Muslim League-N, said on Friday that political stability is essential to strengthen the economy and the democratic system.
Speaking to a private TV channel, he said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) was playing tricks with the heads of national institutions.
He said Imran Khan blamed the chief election commission and used disparaging remarks against him.
He said the PTI leaders were demanding early elections from the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N party as they lost their popularity among the masses.
He urged the PTI leadership to avoid any fuss with the national institution and come forward for talks to resolve the political issues. He said PTI was doing “hue and cry” on non-issues.
Commenting on the foreign funding case, he said that the PTI leadership submitted a fake affidavit and that Imran Khan was not “Sadiq and Ameen” after reports from the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Qadir MandoKhail, a senior Pakistan People’s Party leader, said the PTI should dissolve the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Punjab assemblies so that snap elections can be held after consultation with political parties. He said PTI leaders are wasting the public’s time and collecting salaries from the state treasury. He said the PTI leaders are playing a political game with the nation. He said the next elections would be in 2023 and political parties should prepare for general elections.
