New Delhi: Union Interior Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday (November 25th) that the central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused on the northeast region since coming to power. Shah said that political stability and peace have been established in the region and this will play a huge role in the development of the region.
Virtually addressing an event at the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Union Home Secretary said: “The Modi government has focused on the northeast region since coming to power. . Today, the region is ready to play the role of contributor in the development of the country. “
Amit Shah said: “The northeast region consists of 8% of the Indian landmass. The northeastern region of the country is one of the 18 biodiversity hotspots in the world, which should be promoted.
The Interior Minister said: “Today the region is ready to play the role of contributor to the development of the country. We want to move forward with three E-‘Empathy, Empowerment, Facilitator’- in the region.”
“Political stability and peace have been established in the northeast. All state governments in the region have completed their respective 5-year terms. Elections in the region were also calm. All the capitals of the northeastern states have air connectivity, ”Amit Shah mentioned.
