Political Science Department to Host Several Constitution Week Events – WKUHerald.com



The WKU Department of Political Science will be celebrating Constitution Week with events spanning three days this week.

Constitution Week is celebrated annually from September 17-23 to recognize and remember the history behind the Constitution.

Constitution Week activities are sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Political Engagement Project, the Department of Political Science and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

The celebration will begin Tuesday, September 20 at 11 a.m. with National Voter Registration Day and the Rock the Vote festival at Guthrie Bell Tower and South Lawn. Students will be able to register to vote and learn more about political candidates.

Events continue Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with a discussion of Roe v. Wade hosted by Jeff Budziak, Associate Professor of Political Science, at Cherry Hall, Room 302. There will be pizza served.

A panel discussion will take place on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. titled “How should we encourage and protect the vote? at the Student Success Center on the first floor of Gary Ransdell Hall.
