Our political system needs cleaning up, says SDP presidential hopeful – The Sun Nigeria

From Charity Nwakaudu, Abuja

Aspiring to the presidency under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo has said the Nigerian political system needs to be cleaned up before the country can function again.

Prince Adebayo, speaking to reporters in Abuja yesterday, insisted that changing political parties is not the solution to Nigeria’s problem.

He pointed out that Nigerians need to change their mindset as voting any candidate who has remained in any political party for more than two years would produce the same results.

“We need to change our mindset, clean up our leadership policy so that people with fresh ideas and good leadership qualities can fit in, before this country can work again.”

He lamented that genuine people who care about leadership have come to realize that what good leadership requires is not what our politics demands and that we have to reconcile the two because politics is the way. to become a leader.

Prince Adebayo, however, declared his mission as if elected, he would ensure that the right people with the right leadership qualities are placed in a leadership position, to effect change in the country.

“If I become President, I will faithfully implement Chapter 2 of the Nigerian constitution which has social welfare meaning water, food, shelter, education, health care and the like would be made available because the country can afford it and every citizen needs to take advantage of it.

He further added that the country is extremely too rich to borrow if properly governed by someone with good leadership qualities and a passion for the country.

“Nigeria is a blessed, extremely wealthy country. The story of Nigeria owning and borrowing from other countries is false. No Nigerian president can run out of money as the country is endowed with different types of human and natural resources, he said.
