The Department of Political Science (https://www.LN.edu.hk/polsci/) is committed to preparing students for a competitive and globalized work environment. The department combines teaching and research on Hong Kong and Chinese governance and public policy, international politics, Asian international relations, and comparative politics. It contributes with the Department of Applied Psychology, the Department of Economics and the Department of Sociology and Social Policy to the integrated program of social sciences of the University, after embarking on a 4-year course with a disciplinary major in political Sciences. The appointee(s) must be able to teach ‘Taiwan Politics and Society’ and/or ‘Global Environmental Politics’. The primary responsibilities of the appointee include, but are not limited to, formal teaching and teaching-related activities, such as attending staff meetings, writing exam papers, invigilating exams and script correction.

The appointee(s) must engage in formal education normally for 3 hours per week during the first and/or second term of the 2022-23 academic year.

General requirements

Candidates should hold a master’s or doctoral degree in the relevant discipline and have relevant and substantial teaching experience.


Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be on a fixed term basis.
