IWL WISDOM Luncheon with Women in Political Science, October 14



At Marquette Institute for Women’s Leadership will begin its 2022-2023 WISDOM series on Friday, October 14 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the 707 Hub.

The series will feature alumni from the field of political science, including:

  • Isioma Nwabuzor, associate general counsel and deputy general secretary of Modine Manufacturing
  • Marlo Reeves, research associate, socially responsible evaluation in education at UW-Milwaukee
  • Wendy Weckler, Executive Director of Hope House

An icon representing a culture of inclusion from the Beyond Borders strategic planWISDOM is an ongoing series that shines a light on women and non-binary individuals in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), as well as related fields of social, behavioral, and economic sciences. (SBE).

In addition to discussing the challenges that underrepresented groups face in STEM fields, participants will be able to speak and network with panelists in breakout groups.

All graduate and undergraduate students are invited to attend this event, as well as faculty, staff, and community members with an interest in STEM and political science fields. Although the panelists are usually female, these events are open to all genders, as alliance is a critical part of equity conversations. This will be an in-person event with lunch provided.
