Representative Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) Calls for the “dismantling” of the American political and economic system, in addition to overthrowing the criminal justice system.
“As long as our economy and our political systems prioritize profit without considering who benefits, who is excluded, we will perpetuate this inequality,” she said at a press conference Tuesday in Minnesota. “We cannot stop at [the] criminal justice system. We must start the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression.

The 37-year-old lawmaker did not specify what exactly she meant by “dismantling”. The dictionary definition of the word, however, is “disconnect pieces of” or “destroy the integrity or functioning of”.
Omar used the same language last month, when she advocated for getting rid of police in Minneapolis, the epicenter of the recent Black Lives Matter uproar following the murder of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, by a former white policeman.
“You can’t really reform a department that’s rotten at the root,” she said at the time. “What you can do is rebuild, so this is our opportunity.”

On Tuesday, Omar said dismantling police departments just doesn’t go far enough.
The country, the far-left politician continued, must “tear down” its “systems of oppression”.
“We are fighting to break down the system of oppression that exists in housing, in education, in health care, in employment and in the air we breathe,” she said, adding that it was time to “guarantee housing for all” because of ethnic disparities. in home ownership.
Omar also expressed his support for the radical Green New Deal, “because we know environmental racism is real.”
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the party’s alleged candidate, tweeted on Sunday that he plans to “transform” the United States if elected president in November.
We are going to beat Donald Trump. And when we do, we won’t just rebuild this nation, we will transform it.

Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) Unveiled a varied proposition Tuesday, calling for federal funding for police services across the country and for the establishment of a reparations program for black Americans and those wronged by the police and the criminal justice system.
In addition to cutting funding to local police departments and federal agencies, the proposal would stifle the enforcement of immigration and customs laws and end the Department of Defense’s 1033 program, which transfers additional military equipment to civilian law enforcement agencies.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) Criticized Omar and his “Marxist comrades” for attempting to “shred” the US Constitution.
Ilhan Omar has taken an oath to defend and protect the Constitution, not to tear it up. Omar and his Marxist comrades are a threat to our democracy. Omar is expected to resign.https://t.co/ujBGxbWXtR
